The X1 F48 series that came in, in 2016. It is based on the Modular front-wheel drive based UKL2 platform that is used with BMW and MINI models, a modular meant to increase interior space and boot space in smaller size model cars. They are both available in front wheel and All Wheel drive systems with the front adopting the SDrive naming and the All Wheel adopting XDrive naming. This unit is an SDrive 18i meaning it runs a 1.5L B38 straight-3 turbocharged engine and drives the power to front wheels.
