Volkswagen Citi Golf has been in the market between the years of 1984 to 2009. It came as a facelift of the 1st Gen Volkswagen Golf MK1. It is marketed as a 5-door right-hand drive hatchback that has had a lot of use even in South African Police. It was only produced in South Africa in 3 body style with the 5-door hatchback being marketed as Citi Golf, 4-door sedan as Fox, 2-door Coupè marketed as Caddy. Citi Golf was a special one where after ending production in 2009, a Celebratory model called Citi MK1, was produced in 1000 specially designed units having lowered suspension and 15" alloys among other specs!
