This variant of Smart Fortwo is equipped with fabric seats that are in two-tone and bucket-styled, and has a moonroof. It is a city car produced by Mercedes Benz since 1998 until the year 2024. It is now in its third generation that began in 2014 and is available as a 3-door 2-seater internally designated as the C453 and a 5-door 4-seater internally designated the W453. The C453 is marketed as Fortwo while the W453 as Forfour. This car was jointly produced with Renault and was powered by a choice of two 1.0L or a 0.9L turbo petrol engine. This runs the 0.9L engine option with a power rating of 89bhp. It runs a "twinamic" dual-clutch automatic transmission different from the "soft touch" used previously. It also got to fulfil Kei Cars class requirements in Japan despite it being a non-Japanese car.
