The 4th Gen of Subaru Legacy adopted a new design that began development early in 1999 while production began in 2003. The Japanese market received a 500cc less capacity engine from the North American market that recived 2.5L turbocharged engines. The Japanese market received a 2.0L with power figures of 240hp and 345Nm of Torque.
